elfcat255: (can't be serious)
Yes..you laugh..but at least my muse is waking up...

"RC!..Wake up!...you're letting the fish take over!"

..........

Oh well...maybe I can get her to work later on today....but for now here's more fun with goldfish...heh

Come with me my friends as I put words in the mou…uh…delve into the thoughts of two humble goldfish… Terline and Minnie…

When we last left our two intrepid fish they had just been introduced to their new home…let us pick up our tale two days after that...

Terline floated calmly in the water; just barely moving her fins to stay in place, suddenly Minnie zoomed past her and caused the pale goldfish to do a spin in mid water.

“Hey! What are you doing?” Terline blurted out as Minnie zoomed by again.

“I’m racing!” Minnie replied as she rushed around the bowl once more.

Terline swam into her path, causing Minnie to come to a standstill, “Who are you racing? It sure isn’t me,” Terline asked.

Minnie did a zigzag back and forth, “Oh I’m racing myself.”

Terline gave the black and gold hued fish an odd look, “How can you race with yourself?”

"Oh it’s easy…see look at the edge of the bowl, where it starts to bow out there’s a reflection,” Minnie said as she floated down to the reflective spot.

Terline swam down next to her and sure enough, she could see their reflections on the inside of the glass. “You realize you can’t beat your reflection right?” she said to Minnie.

Minnie gave a shrug with her fins, “Eh, but I can have fun trying,” and she took off zooming around the tank again.

“I’m trapped in a fishbowl with a lunatic,” Terline said as she swam up closer to the surface to get away from the racing fish.

Terline soon grew tired of watching Minnie zoom in circles and tried to listen in on the sounds of the TV, which was next to their home. She was floating lazily enjoying the music being filtered through the water when she noticed their human had come into the room, she appeared to be carrying something in her hands. Laying down the object, she removed the cover from the fishbowl and began scooping out water.

Minnie having stopped with her racing once she realized something was happening asked, “What’s going on?”

As she swam down to sit with Minnie on the bottom Terline replied,” Either she’s going to put fresh water in or we’re fixing to get company.”

Both fish watched anxiously, fresh water was good but more fish was bad, the bowl shaped tank was just the right size for the two of them and neither wanted to share the space with more fish. Soon the human finished taking out water, she then picked up the object, lowered it down into the tank and then added some fresh water.

The two fish had pressed themselves as close to the glass as possible during all of this. As the water settled, they slowly swam up to check out the new addition to the tank.

“OOOO….what’s this?” Minnie asked as she swam around the object.

“It’s a rock…with holes in it dummy,” Terline replied.

Minnie grew brave and swam through one of the openings in the rock, back and forth she traveled,”Hey…this is fun!” she called out as she tried a different opening.

Terline floated up to the rock, poking her head through one of the openings and discovered a nice little cubbyhole, “Yay…someplace I can be safe in as you tear around the tank,” she remarked, as she swam in and settled down to watch her enthusiastic companion zip through the openings.

And so concludes our little interlude with Terline and Minnie…join us next time as we discuss goldfish eating habits…

“Why do you do that?” asked Terline.

“Do what?” replied Minnie as she coughed up a flake and then ate it again.

Terline just groaned and swam away.

Until next time my friends!
