halfbloodme...I tried to get them to co-operate but eh..hope you like.
The diminutive auburn haired woman stood in the open doorway with her arms crossed and a perturbed look on her face. She watched as her partner and their lover rushed around the main floor of the cabin, tossing cushions from the couch and moving other pieces of furniture as they searched for something.
She had to contain a snort of laughter as the blonde and the dark haired women ran into each other in their hurried search, neither paying attention to where they were moving. They paused for a moment, both rubbing their heads were they had connected and then continued the search.
Janet cleared her throat and suggested, “Did you look up in the loft?”
Sam paused and pointed towards Vala. “She did,” the tall blonde said.
Vala turned around, the woven rug from in front of the fireplace in her hands, and gave Sam an odd look. “I thought you looked?” she queried.
Sam shook her head and Janet sighed. “Well somebody needs to check up there and I think it should be the body who lost the keys in the first place,” she said, eyeing Vala.
“I did not lose them, just misplaced them,” Vala remarked in a defiant tone but when Janet shot her a look she meekly added; “I’ll go look.” Tossing the rug on the floor she hurried towards the staircase leading to the loft area.
“Maybe you should help her,” the doctor told the blonde. Sam began to protest but Janet added. “If I’m late for duty tonight because of this…” she let the remark trail off.
“Okay,” Sam said and with a huff of breath to blow the hair from her eyes she plodded towards the staircase.
She reached the top of the stairs and discovered Vala lying on the bed. “That is not looking for the keys,” she said and knelt down to check under the bed.
Vala yawned and stretched her lanky body. “We’ve been looking for over an hour. What if we can’t find them? Will it really be so bad to stay one more night here?” she asked, rolling over onto her stomach and peering at Sam over the edge of the mattress.
After grumbling under her breath for a minute, Sam spoke up, “You haven’t seen Janet really mad yet. If we don’t find those keys and she misses her shift then we’re both going to be in the doghouse.”
“Doghouse? Samantha, you don’t really think she’d make us stay outside in that little house you built?” Vala asked in a serious tone.
Sam couldn’t help herself, chuckling softly and shaking her head she explained the phrase to the alien, “Not literally, Vala. It means we’d be in big trouble for a long time and it would be safer for us to stay away from her.”
Rolling over onto her back, Vala motioned in the air with her hands and remarked, “She doesn’t scare me. Besides, I think between the both of us we could make her forget about work.” She flipped back over really fast and gave Sam a crooked grin. “Let’s tell her we can’t find them.”
“You haven’t even looked yet,” Sam replied, rising from her fruitless search under the bed and standing over her stretched out lover.
Vala look up at the blonde and smirked. Sam cocked her head to the side and eyed the dark haired woman. “What did you do with the keys?”
“What keys?” Vala said innocently.
Raising her hands in a claw-like gesture and wiggling her fingers Sam threatened, “Don’t make me tickle you.”
Sticking her tongue out Vala replied, “Bring it on, blondie. I can take it.”
Sam pounced and began tickling the woman beneath her along the ribs. Vala did her best to try and block the blonde’s actions but she was losing the battle. The two women twisted around on the bed for several minutes until a loud voice caused them to freeze in mid motion.
“This is not looking for the car keys,” Janet said from her position at the top of the stairway.
Both women gave the smaller woman a wide-eyed look and said simultaneously, “She started it.”
“I swear the two of you are like a couple of teenagers sometime. If this shenanigan makes me late…” Janet continued to impart her displeasure over the entire situation.
Both Sam and Vala looked sideways at each other. Vala’s eyebrow arched in question and Sam shrugged her shoulders slightly in reply. With a small inclination of her head, Vala motioned for Sam to move. Sam made a small noise of disagreement and motioned for Vala to go first. In the meantime, Janet continued to ramble on about being late for work.
Vala’s eyes narrowed and with the barest movement of her lips mouthed, “One…” Sam nodded. “Two…” They shifted their weight slightly. “Three.” On that count both women leapt towards the doctor and each grabbed an arm, pulling her towards the bed.
Janet screamed in surprise as she was pulled onto the bed. She landed between them with a slight bounce and rolled over onto her back. Looking up at the two grinning women perched above her, she spoke, “We do not have time for this.”
Vala’s lips formed in a small pout as she gazed down at the doctor. “We haven’t had a long enough vacation,” she said in sullen voice.
Janet began to squirm against the hold they had on her. “Let me up,” she ordered.
Sam shook her head. “Nope, we’ve decided the keys can stay lost and you can call in tonight.”
“I can’t do tha….” Janet’s protest was cut off by Vala’s lips covering hers. Sam watched as the two women she loved shared a deep, searing kiss and when Vala pulled back the blonde chuckled at the dreamy look plastered on her partner’s face now.
The doctor stared into space for a few seconds and then shook her head to snap herself out of it. “If you think tha…” her protest was cut off once more as Sam leaned down quickly and planted a kiss of her own on the smaller woman.
Vala watched her lovers kiss and grinned as she heard a moan come from the doctor; it seemed that Sam’s kiss had hit a nerve. She grinned then slipped from the bed to stand beside it as the two women became lost in each other and stretched out on the bed, articles of clothing slowly being peeled from each other’s bodies. The dark haired woman grinned evilly as she pulled her tank top over her head. She popped the button on the loose jeans she wore and let them slide down to pool around her ankles; only she heard the faint jingle of keys as they landed. Joining the two on the bed, all thoughts of keys and jobs disappeared from the three women’s minds as they became entangled in each others arms.
