Summary: A very good reason to keep memories not her own.
The faint whisper of voices resounded in her mind, more flashes of memories not her own haunted her rest.
The one named Fifth had explained that the memories belonged to the one she resembled. He assured her that they would fade in time as she became more aware of her true purpose in his new world.
What if she did not want them to fade?
Enveloped in the wall, surrounded by millions of her simple form brethren, she let her mind go blank and allowed more memories of the brown-eyed, smiling woman to appear. The memories were sporadic in their order, some were of the woman working side by side with someone, she assumed the one she resembled, others were images of the woman and a young girl laughing and playing outdoors, and still more of the women leaning over her with a look of concern and love in her eyes.
However, the memories that provoked the deepest response in her were the images of a darkened room, lit by candle light. These memories all blurred together as the sensation of hands trailed over her body, whispers of kisses grazed her neck and face; a strange tension she did not understand began to build in her, feelings she knew were not her own but ones she would gladly experience.
A phantom feeling of lips caressed her breasts, moving across her upper body to end in the hollow of her neck, then a husky whisper in her ear…”Samantha…”. Then her face appeared, she now knew this woman was the one whose name she had whispered upon awakening, this was Janet… this was her love.
Eyes snapped open, her breathe came in gasps, willing her brethren to part she pushed away from the wall. Slowly her senses began to calm, the sensations experienced began to fade, but with that fading came a new purpose, one that she knew did not follow Fifth’s plans. She must find Janet.
