Ok….how pitiful is it when you have to come home from a vacation just to relax…Oh boy…it was a fun one though…
So the drive down wasn’t so bad, and yes I did drive the speed limit the whole way, why give them an excuse to stop you is the way I see it.
Got into Hattiesburg around noon time…went to my friend Laura’s house…heh…had to wake her up to let me in the house, which was a good thing ,she had to be at work at 1:30. She’s a bartender, so she gets ready and we go open the bar up. Yep… I stayed there all afternoon and into the night. I did wait to start drinking beer until around 8pm though…played lots of pool (still a shark…heh), caught up with who married who and who had kids with who now. Not a bad first day…did drink way too much though…ack!
Now we were suppose to go camping on Saturday, but it turned into just going to the creek and playing in the water all day since we had no one to watch the dogs for the night. Had a blast…took some really cool pictures but somebody’s kid splashed me and my camera got wet and wiped itself clean…so I lost the nice shots of the light on the water I wanted…dammit! I took some more but they just aren’t the same (oh and I’m not allowed to post them, because its girls in swimsuits, my life was threatened, not gonna risk it…Heheh) Of course being on the creek meant you drink more beer, but since I knew we had to leave I stopped so I could drive… (It was Laura’s birthday so I let her drink) we just should have stayed though… argh.
Getting to the spot were the tents were set up was down this small dirt road with lots of trees on both sides….add in about 10 vehicles parked wherever they could park spelled disaster for me. Now I have no problems backing up my jeep or heck even a dually pulling a 4 horse trailer, but apparently I have problems with Nissan Frontiers!!!!!!!!! Almost made it out of the trees then WHAM! I nailed the bumper on the car of one of Laura’s other friends…Dammit! (And I was stone cold sober!) I now have to come up with $250 to help fix it(Laura’s paying the other half since it was her truck and she was suppose to be spotting me on that side!) after that we made it out ok and home safely.
Sunday was spent recovering from Friday and Saturday…lol…we just lazed around the house watching TV. No alcohol was consumed..lol..but we did smoke some really good herb!…weeeeeeeeeeee!
Monday we woke up around noon and drove down to New Orleans , got to hang out with some friends, ate some really good food and listened to a great jazz band. Left New Orleans at 10pm, made it back to Hattiesburg in time to hang out a little at the bar, played some pool. Then went back to Laura‘s house and watched Stargate SG-1 dvds…Heheh...I forced Laura to watch it with me( She called me a geek! The nerve!…but she loves me anyway...heh)…muhahahahahah!.
I came home today..did speed limits all the way back too. Got home and was mobbed by my animals..Now I’m catching up on LJ stuff and will crash in my bed (yay!) before to long to catch up on sleep. All in all it was a good trip, spent time with my friends and made it back alive and undamaged (well except for my bank account*head desk*, a slight sunburn and some mosquito bites). Yes…. A good road trip indeed!
