Adventures of Little Sam and Vala

So....the giants became all excited and happy this last week. Apparently they were going to a gathering of other giants with like interests. The three of us (myself, Vala and Cam) showed little interest in this trip until Vala overheard the giants mention a stargate. This immediately grabbed my attention and I came up with a plan. Leaving Cam to distract them with something, Vala and I snuck into the backpack of one of them and made ourselves comfortable..(one would ask why we didn't take Cam with us...well, he's been getting a little grabby lately and we both decided if we did get home, we could come back later and get him).....Once at the airport however we were discovered but, it was too late for them to do anything about it so they let us go with them on the trip. Behind the cut are images of our adventure in the big city of Chicago. Sad to report that we didn't find an actual stargate to take us home but, we did have fun.




We were getting hot and Vala unzipped the side pocket...this is when they found us.



After discovering the flight had been cancelled the giants found another one...this is us holding onto the ticket.

We chose to hide in the pocket once on the plane, since it was a full flight, and Vala was feeling a bit curious. I felt it was best to keep a tight rein on her since we did not need to get noticed. Once the plane landed however we came out to refresh ourselves for a little while. Here is a nice view of the tarmac at the Baltimore airport.


Back in the air before long we continued on our way to Chicago. We had very little oppertunity to actually see what was going on until the giants settled themselves down for a train ride to the hotel. We came out for a little while and met their friend who travled to meet them in Chicago...she was very nice(didn't poke or prod at us at all)


Here is Vala trying to help one of the giants navigate using the train map from the visitor's booth at the airport...


Finally made it to the hotel and we could climb out of the backpack...here we are resting on the nice fluffy pillows(of whichour giant and Vala decided to steal one of..ummm...borrowed that is)


Early Saturday morning they let Vala and I stretch our legs in one of the large planters outside of the hotel. This way we could duck behind the foliage if anyone walked past us.


We traveled a short distance from the hotel for a nice brunch. Here I am looking over the menu and Vala is complaining that her coffee hasn't enough sugar.


"I know it's to big for me to pick up but it still needs more sugar."


We hopped back into the pocket of our giant's shorts and soon were on our way into the city. After a train ride and another long shuttle ride we found ourselves wandering around downtown.


We felt like ants looking at this view.


The giants ended up at a place called Navy Pier and while they enjoyed the few rides this place offered we watched from a safe spot. They were afraid we might fall out of the pocket so their friend stood guard over us so no one bothered us while we watched them ride the swing ride.


I did get to ride the Carousel though..rode on the giraffe's head..*g*


Had our picture taken on the huge anchor that was a centerpiece for the end of the pier.


After that Vala decided to climb up a tree..don't ask me why, but I had to promise she could have ice cream later to get her down.




And here we are taking a break from walking...Vala climbed into the utensil dispenser and refused to come out until she got a piece of the calamari they were eating.


Vala must have been bored because she kept getting into things...here she is threatening to pull the handle on a life preserver. I reminded her giant jails were not a good place for us to end up in.


Once we left the pier both Vala and I slept much of the way back to the hotel. We were very tired. Actually we didn't do much of anything on Sunday except listen to the guests at the convention the giants attended. I did see images of several familiar faces, Janet's being one of them but she was a giant. This world must definitely be an AU version of our own.


Ah ha....Ba'al! ...I knew there had to be an explanation for all of this. He must have pulled us here some how, but wait....our giants tell me this isn't Ba'al but a man named Cliff Simon...damn, I thought I'd figured out why we were here. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Hope you enjoyed our adventure and stay tuned for more...whenever that may be.
