Sam walked softly down the hallway; reaching the master bedroom door, she poked her head through. Seeing the light shining through the cracked bathroom door, she slowly entered the room. Walking over to the bathroom door she heard the shower running; grinning, she quickly pulled her shirt over her head, kicked off shoes and worked her way out of her jeans as fast as she could. Removing her undergarments she eased into the bathroom. Barely moving the shower curtain she saw that Janet’s back was turned towards her. As quietly as possible, she slipped into the shower with her partner and stood waiting for Janet to turn around.

“If you think this is going to make up for tonight, Sam, you’ve lost your mind,” Janet said, not turning around.

Janet continued to stand under the spray of water; she felt Sam’s arms circle her waist, allowing Sam to pull her back until their bodies touched. Sam began placing soft kisses along her neck.

Janet sighed. “Stop that…I’m mad at you.”

“I know…I’m trying to apologize,” Sam whispered in the ear she was beginning to nibble.

Janet turned around until they were facing each other, as Sam tried to continue with her form of apology, Janet placed a hand on her chest. “We need to talk about this but not in the shower,” she said turning away from Sam. Turning the water off and pulling the curtain back, she grabbed a towel from the rack and stepped out of the shower. As she began drying off, she heard Sam let out a loud sigh.

“I’m serious, Sam; we need to talk about this reversion to high school thing that happens whenever you and Cameron get together,” she said finishing drying off and putting on her robe. Picking up a new towel, she handed it to her partner who was still standing in the shower.

Taking the towel handed to her, Sam stepped out. As she began to dry off, she looked at Janet who was leaning against the vanity. Taking a deep breath, she began to try and explain her actions. “I don’t know why it happens, Janet, honestly. Maybe it has something to do with Mark and I not being so close when we were teenagers, being around Cam is like having a little brother again.” She sighed and took the robe Janet held out for her. Janet just shook her head and walked into the bedroom, with Sam trailing after her. Sitting on the bed the doctor looked up at her partner, who stood waiting, chewing on her bottom lip.

Patting the bed, Janet sighed. “Stop pouting and come here.”

Sam grinned as she skipped forward and jumped on the bed to settle next to Janet. “I am really sorry we put you through so much tonight,” she said, taking Janet’s hand in her own. “ I just got so caught up in the prank; you know how I am when I get focused on something,” she said, grinning.

“Yes…once you make up your mind to do something, it’s really hard to get you away from it,” Janet remarked, thinking of all the times she had to drag Sam away from projects.

“And we really didn’t hurt anything…well, Rodney’s grass might not benefit, but it was funny; come on, you have to admit it,” Sam commented, the grin never leaving her face.

“I really don’t think it was that funny, but you do get credit for being original,” Janet replied with a grin of her own, “I also think you and Cameron should clean it up before Rodney comes home.”

Sam began to argue, “But that defeats the whole purpose of the prank; he’s scheduled to come home for a break tomorrow. I know this because I saw the down time requests; that’s why we did it.”

“I don’t care…your little stunt is liable to give the poor man a heart attack when he pulls up to his house. He really is deathly afraid of citrus products, Sam. You should have seen him the day he came to the infirmary after thinking he had eaten something with lemon juice in it. I had to administer a sedative just to get him calmed down,” Janet told her partner.

“But we’re scheduled to gate out tomorrow at ten in the morning,” whined Sam.

“No whining,” Janet told her, “you should have thought of that before you pulled this. Now I suggest you try and get some sleep, because you have a job to do bright and early.”

Sam knew that tone, it was the one Janet used with stubborn patients; sighing she replied, “Okay…I know better than to argue when you take that tone with me; I’ll call Cam in the morning.”

“Good…now get some sleep,” Janet said as she leaned forward and kissed Sam goodnight.

Sam stood, removing her robe while Janet pulled down the bedcovers and laid down, climbing into the bed she snuggled up close to Janet’s back, ‘Well at least I made it into the bed,’ she thought as she drifted off to sleep.

The ringing of the telephone woke Cameron from a very good dream; reaching out blindly, he picked up the phone after a couple of tries, “This had better be good,” he grumbled, answering the phone.

“Hi Cam…umm…we have to go clean up Rodney’s yard,” the voice on the other end said.

“Sam? What do you mean we have to clean his yard? It’s five in the morning,” he said, glancing at the clock. “We have a mission today,” he said, still groggy with sleep.

“I know…that’s why we have to go do it now,” Sam replied.

Cameron groaned, “Does this have anything to do with you getting to sleep in the bed last night?”

The sound of Sam clearing her throat answered him. “I knew it…you are so whipped,” he groaned.

“Just meet me at Rodney’s; the quicker you get there, then quicker we can get it done. See you there, bye,” Sam said, and then hung up on him.

*************************

Cameron pulled up in the drive behind Sam’s Volvo. He saw that she was already at work in the yard, picking up fruit and throwing it into one of the several boxes scattered about. Janet sat on the hood of the Volvo, sipping a cup of coffee while watching her partner work.

“Good morning, Cameron,” she said as he exited his truck. “Beautiful day, isn’t it?”

He just nodded at the doctor, walking over to where Sam was busy picking up fruit and began working along side her. “So…what happened to 'give me ten minutes alone with her'?” he asked, throwing oranges into a box.

Sam stood up, glancing towards Janet she smiled, and then answered in a hushed tone, “Shut up…if she heard you say that I’d be in trouble all over again. Besides I did sleep in the bed, for about two hours until I called you. We just talked about all this last night,” she answered him, “Now hurry up; I really want to take a nap before we have to gate out.”

“Why isn’t Teal’c here to help?” asked Cameron as he threw more fruit in a box.

“She said since he didn’t actually help us do this that he didn’t have to help clean it up, but I still think she has physicals planned before the mission,” Sam replied, picking up an empty box.

“Ohhh-kay…I’m beginning to see why O’Neill was so intimidated by her,” he remarked.

Just then, Janet called out, “Less talk…more movement. I have to be at the base by eight, and Sam is my ride.”

The two pranksters shut up and began picking up fruit faster, after awhile they had a system down; each took turns holding a box while the other lobbed fruit into it…in fact it looked as if they were beginning to enjoy themselves. At one point, Cameron picked up a lemon; glancing at Sam, he grinned and threw it towards Janet before she could stop him.

Janet calmly reached up, catching it, she smiled at Cameron, “Nice throw, now back to work," she said.

Cameron gave Sam a confused look, and then turned around to start picking up more, as he bent down the lemon tagged him in the head. Sam could not control her laughter, collapsing on the ground, “I tried to stop you,” she said in between laughs. “She has perfect aim.”

Rubbing his head, Cam turned back towards Janet, waving at her, “Nice arm Doc,“ he called out. Reaching down, he pulled Sam up from the ground, “Quick…before she starts looking for more ammo,“ he commented as they continued with the task. After a couple of hours and a many calls from Janet for them to quit playing around, they had finished with the yard and had moved to clean off the porch.

Sam was holding a box while Cameron threw fruit in it, “Oh…by the way, I can’t play with you anymore,” she said, grinning.

“Really… Okay I take back the whipped comment I made on the phone, you’re not whipped…you’re whupped!” he said, trying to control a laugh while throwing lemons into the box.

Sam shrugged, “I think it’s just a temporary thing; she’ll change her mind after I mope around the house during the next down time,” she said with a wicked grin.

“Well, we’ll just have to try and stay out of trouble for awhile I guess,” he said as he threw the last of the fruit into the box. “Come on; let’s load these boxes up in my truck, so you can get your woman to work.”

Sam kicked him in the rear as he walked past her; laughing he ran to his truck, getting in he started it up and backed it into the yard. “I’m glad I drove this instead of my Mustang, how the heck did we fit all this in it anyway? “ Cam asked as they began stacking boxes.

“Because they were in bags, not boxes, took up less space,“ Sam replied laughing as she passed him another box.

They soon had all of the boxes loaded; not a single piece of fruit could be seen left anywhere in the yard. Walking over to Sam’s car, they stood in front of Janet, waiting for her to speak.

“Now see…that wasn’t so bad,” she commented. “Have you two learned a lesson from all of this?”

Sam nodded, “Yep…we should call you when we’re going to be late.”

Cameron also nodded and answered, “And we shouldn’t pick on Rodney.”

“Good…now let’s go Sam, I don’t want to be late for duty,” Janet said as she hopped down from the hood and walked around to the passenger door.

While Janet’s back was turned Cameron glanced at Sam and said in a hushed tone, “And we learned not let Teal’c be the lookout…next time we bring Vala.”

Sam burst out laughing and shoved him towards his truck, “See you at the base,” she said in between giggles.

“Yep…see you there,” he said, waving bye to Janet as he sat in the driver’s seat and cranked the truck; pulling out of the yard he blew the horn and drove away.

Sam walked up to her car, opening the door she sat in the driver’s seat and looked over at her partner, “Can I take a nap in the infirmary when we get to the base?” she asked giving Janet a puppy dog look.

Janet laughed, “Yes…I’ll let you take a nap; you can use the couch in my office,” she said reaching up and ruffling Sam’s hair.

“Thanks,” Sam said, leaning over and giving her a quick kiss.

Starting the car Sam began backing out of the driveway but then stopped; getting out she ran over to the mailbox and opened it, pulling out the oranges hidden there. Getting back into the car, she threw them in the backseat, looking at Janet she just grinned. Janet just shook her head and laughed as they headed towards the base for another day of work at Stargate command.
