I just woke up an hour ago...ah, days off are nice. I'm seriously contemplating not doing anything today (even though the yard needs mowing and the house could use a once over)....
One would say you just had a three day weekend...ah ha...but when one spends the majority of that weekend driving in a car it's not relaxing...I did spend a lazy Sunday with one of T's friends while she visted her folks(I still don't exist to her mother..grrr) but it wasn't the same, I missed T and couldn't think about anything but how she was doing.
Add to that being worried about her I was worried about all the babies at the barn...turns out it wasn't a bacterial infection like we thought. It was a virus...a rotavirus in fact, so all the babies had it...some worse than others. On Friday before I left we were having to give IV fluids to the two oldest ones. I was waiting for Cindy to ask me to not leave for the weekend but she never did, even after I asked if she needed me. (Found out Tuesday that her husband, Jody, had asked her to ask me to stay but she told him because this was a weekend I needed off and I told her about when I first started working that she wanted me to have it....my boss is awesome).
Anyway, she called me on Sunday and said everyone was doing better. They had a few scary moments on Saturday but the babies pulled through. Now all of them are doing better, except the youngest, Tatum, who seems to have caught it last. We're watching her real close and hopefully won't have to give her fluids since we started preventitive medicine with her.
Cindy has alot planned personal wise for the next two weeks, so I will be working full time, no days off. She asked me yesterday if I wanted today off and I said sure...just so I could get in one day of pure laziness before the long days start.
I do want to mow the yard but then again I don't...I have to wash the cats and put their flea drops on for sure...*Helo waves hello*.
