Yup...three more...I have used up my selections and am contemplating doing more...but since the muses are on a roll I think I need to work on existing stuff that needs finishing...*cough*...Little Problems being the biggest one....Enjoy!
“Bright Idea” -Sam & Season 10 team - G - playing pool
There was a loud crack as the cue ball connected with the wedge of brightly colored balls and several plunking noises as many of those balls landed in pockets. The blonde woman dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and leather jacket grinned evilly as she moved to make another shot.
Standing against the wall her three male team mates watched as she began clearing the table yet again. At a nearby table Vala sipped on a frosty mug of beer and grinned at the movements of the blonde Lt Colonel. “Whose idea was this again?” she asked, glancing towards the men.
Both Daniel and Teal’c motioned towards Cameron then both said, “His.” at the same time.
Cameron just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. “You could have warned me, Jackson. I just wanted us to spend a little bonding time together, what better way than pool and beer,” he said innocently.
“Samantha Carter does not take this game lightly, Colonel Mitchell,” Teal’c stated.
Rubbing a hand over his face Cam groaned, “I’m beginning to see that, thanks for the info, big guy.”
“Well since it seems she isn’t going to allow you to shoot, I think I’ll get her to show me how to do this,” Vala said to Cam.
The men watched as Vala stood up from the table and moved to stand next to Sam as she sank another shot. She motioned with her hands as she said something they couldn’t make out to the blonde. Sam laughed and nodded then she handed the cue to Vala, following that with placing an arm around the woman’s waist and moving closer to her.
“Okay, call me a pig but I think I’d rather watch this than play,“ Cam said out of the corner of his mouth to Daniel.
“You’re a pig. But, you have a point,” Daniel remarked, clearing his throat as Vala bent over the table and Sam leaned close to her to help line up a shot.
“Indeed,” the deep baritone of Teal’c voiced, causing the other two men to stare at him in wonder. The Jaffa just grinned slightly and sipped from his mug as he watched Sam teach Vala how to play the game.

“Walking a Tightrope”---Sam/Vala - G - high
“Whose idea was this again?” Sam asked as she peered over the edge of the cliff.
“I believe it was mine,“ Vala answered as she looped the rope around a nearby tree.
“And why am I going along with it?” Sam said aloud.
“Because it’s better than being roasted alive by a Prior,” Vala replied as she tied off another knot and tugged to make sure the rope wouldn’t slip.
“But, we could just climb down,” Sam pointed out.
“Ah, but then we would have to climb back up the other side. This way we kill two birds with one rock,” Vala said rather smugly as she readied herself.
“That’s stone and we may be the birds getting killed here,” Sam grumbled.
“Oh, come now, it’s not that high,” Vala said as she eased a foot onto the taunt rope to test it.
“It’s damn high enough,” Sam replied as she pulled her backpack off. Backing away from Vala and the edge she spun the bag around a few times and when it gained enough inertia she let it fly. They watched as her pack sailed across the chasm and landed on the other side. “Now if only getting us over there was that easy,” she remarked.
“Pish posh, it will be easy. Just follow me, “ Vala told her and the dark haired woman eased her way onto the rope.
Sam held her breath as she watched Vala walk the tightrope. The alien woman made it look easy but Sam knew it wasn’t. When it was her turn she was going to do it the easy way, hand over hand…under the rope, not on top.

“Unexpected Guests” - SGA/BSG - Sam/Laura Roslin -G- negotiation
(I think this one could have been better..*shrugs*)
Sam stood in the doorway leading onto the balcony just off of the control room. She watched the older brunette leaning against the balcony, her elbows resting on the railing and glasses held in her hand, as she let the sun shine on her face. It seemed for just a moment that Sam saw the woman that existed before the weight of being president, to what was left of the thirteen colonies, had added lines of worry to her pale features.
The blonde stepped out onto the balcony and cleared her throat to get Laura Roslin’s attention. The older woman turned and smiled at her. “Ah, Colonel Carter, you are blessed with such a lovely view here,” she said as Sam came to stand by her.
“Didn’t I tell you to call me Sam, Madam President,” the blonde said, returning the smile.
“So, you did. But I believe I also replied with, call me Laura,” said Laura.
“Touché,” remarked Sam and the two women chuckled.
They were quiet for a few moments as both gazed out over the ocean Atlantis rested upon until finally Laura spoke up, “I take it the call to your government didn’t go well?”
Sam hesitated a moment before answering and Laura added, “I can understand that we gave them a lot to think about but sadly our options are few.”
“Yes, it was a lot for them to digest,” Sam threw her hands up in the air and continued, “I mean, it’s not every day that we tell them a fleet of displaced humans from another galaxy wants to come to Earth because it’s their lost home.”
Laura chuckled. “Well, putting it that way doesn’t make it sound so bad,” she remarked. “You’re forgetting the part about us being hunted by a group of machines who think they are God’s chosen ones, too.”
“Oh, no, I told them about that. Kind of put the nail in the coffin actually,” Sam told her.
“So, they said no to us continuing our journey to Earth?” the older woman asked, fully knowing the answer already.
Sam nodded her head. “But, I have another suggestion. Until we can negotiate something better between our people, how about we locate you a planet in this galaxy to settle on,” she suggested.
“What about the cylons?” Laura asked.
“When they show up I guess we’ll just have to lend a hand. After all, that’s what allies are for, right?” Sam replied with a shrug of her shoulders.
“I have a feeling that you’ll regret that one day but until then my people will take what generosity they can get, Sam,” Laura said.
The two women grew silent as they leaned against the railing. One thinking that maybe, just maybe there was hope yet for her people and the other thinking could this galaxy throw anymore surprises her way.
